Trevor Rosenthal was born on
May 29, 1990 in Lee Summit, MO. He went to Lee Summit High School. When he graduated high school he moved onto college. He went to Cowley College in Arkansas City, Kansas. He was a member of the baseball team, and qualified to be in the Junior College World Series. When College scout Aaron Looper spotted Rosenthal. When Rosenthal was spotted by Looper, He was a shortstop who had just started pitching. Aaron Looper watched him for one inning and saw Rosenthal pitching at over 90mph. He thought that after some training Rosenthal will be pitching faster and more accurately than he is now. The St. Louis Cardinals called Trevor Rosenthal up from Springfield for the first time to the Major League on July 16, 2012. Rosenthal made his debut as the 2,000th player in in franchise history dating back to 1882. He was also the 2,000th player to be in any Major League franchise. From there he went on to train and soon he was moving his way up to the Cardinals closing pitcher. After 2 years of training he did what Aaron Looper suspected he could do. He could pitch at over 100 mph. In 2014 Rosenthal signed a contract to play with the Cardinals until 2018. |
